The 2008 WI CCC Summit focusing "Access to Cancer Preventive and Screening Services" was a success! Over 150 partners from around the state gathered at the Marriott Madison West to discuss best practices in cancer preventive and screening services. Cancer affects people of all racial and ethnic groups. However, a closer look at cancer rates reveals some significant in disparities that often times stem from a delay in getting screened and diagnosed. This Summit further explored what is creating the divide in cancer prevention and screening. Promising practices that focus on access to cancer services were shared through a keynote presentation, breakout sessions and plenary sessions.
